Zipper Tailor Fabric Snap is an outlet for the sales of my sewing goods overflow.
There is a saying that most of us who sew know, "The one with the most fabric when she dies, wins."
For most of my life I have been buying fabrics for use in making primarily my own clothes. Now that I am older, I have found that I have way more than I can use in a lifetime. I am an art quilter and most of my sewing is now done on my artwork. You will not find any of the types of fabric that I use in my art here. What you will find are some of the most unusual and lovely cut pieces of fabric. I have always had an artist's eye for pretty things.
I have stored all my fabrics throughout the years folded in dark plastic bins in my home. They are clean, dry and unwashed and with no faded spots. My home is smoke and mildew free. For those that find themselves highly allergic, I have always had cats around.
Along with wonderful fabric, you may notice quite a few buttons. I have always been fascinated by the masterful craftsmanship and allure of old buttons. I have been collecting and researching them for quite a few years now. I am literally drowning in a tsunami of buttons! So many of my happy button discoveries will make their way into the shop. I never could resist a fabulous new sewing pattern either, and this resulted in bins full of unused patterns. I sell Vogue patterns in a range of sizes and have added to my personal collection when I find something wonderful. I have found some amazing vintage designer Vogue patterns and am slowly entering them into my shop. I like selling the unused ones but occasionally will find a cut one that is crazy wonderful and I count the pattern pieces to make sure you are getting the complete pattern.
As I mentioned I am a textile artist. Some of my work is offered here for sale as well as the sewing supplies. My daughter has been crafting the most charming rosaries out of semi precious stones. She has been beading for a while now and has a lovely way of creating these beautiful gift items. You will find some of her best offerings in the shop as well.
I hope that you will find something that you will love and are able to use or collect. I would love to see what you have made with your fabric or button purchases. As most of my fabric pieces are not on bolts, but cut remnants, I prefer not to cut them again. However, if a yardage is over 2 yards I will considered cutting it. Email me with your requests. There are a few fabric listings that I have larger quantities of which you will find listed at by-the-yard prices. Look for listings that say "multiple yards available" for these offerings. For now, I ship only in the USA and for almost every listing I will assume the shipping cost for you. Postage costs have gone up so there are a small amount of items which I have asked for shipping costs. I mail through USPS. I prefer no refunds... If you feel strongly or have some extenuating circumstance- we can discuss a refund, but it is to my discretion. Refunds after 10 days will not be considered. No exchanges.
If you have questions, concerns or a special request please email me at the shop. I have so many items that are not listed yet so if you are looking for a specific fabric, button, or pattern give me a holler. Perhaps I have what you need.
Thank you and.......
Have fun shopping!
