Alcove takes it origin in a travel to Morocco, in 2004. Mehdi, the founder of Alcove, was stunned by the ceiling of an abandoned palace - the Kasbah of Telouet. Sculpted in cedar wood, it is captivating to look at: from far, you see some intricate geometric patterns. Have a look from closer: you see some other shapes, melted in.

Back home, Mehdi started to use his mathematics and computing skills to program a software generating similar designs. Over the years, he printed some of these on clothes, just for himself.

Fast forward to Summer 2017, alcove was born, with the idea to:
* create original designs, something different than what is seen elsewhere
* promote ethics in the industry, by carefuling selecting responsible manufacturers (sweat-shop free, ecological).
