This is the fourth of these spindles I've bought from Amu in 3 months. I think that speaks for it well enough. :) They are lovely, gorgeously crafted, each unique, beautiful pieces of functional art, and they are a JOY to use. If you get one, you'll treasure it.

I've wanted a darning egg for years; don't know what happened to Grandma's. There was good communication from the seller, the maple egg is beautifully crafted, it arrived quickly and I was treated to some twist that I put to use the very next day darning socks. :-) I'm really pleased and I would recommend a darning egg to anyone who wants to save a little money on socks!

Excellent quality, the finish put on the wood is amazing. Seems to spin forever with a simple flick.

The spindle is so well made, and the wood just glows. I especially love the thin flicking tip. It has great balance/stability as well.
