That's pretty much been how everything's started with me. I see something, get interested, and try to re-create it! Sometimes it's not re-creating, but just downright creating what my mind sees. I've had help along the way - my grandmothers encouraging sewing and crocheting as a child, and a good friend teaching me the basics of knitting. My mother helped me sew a dress in middle school. My great-grandfather and my grandmother loved their gardens. And a dear friend taught me the basics of quilting a year or so before my first baby was born. I love to create, and I love to plant seeds and watch them grow! I rarely adhere to "that shouldn't work", as long as it's not dangerous, and I've found many fun things to make and grow! I'm still learning as I go, as we all do, and loving it all! Now, through my Etsy shop, I can share some of those creations and seeds with you, for your own experiments!
