From the works of Audrey P. Jacobson. (1928-2012)

Audrey Jacobson worked as a studio artist for 42 years in St. Lawrence County, the heart of New York's "North Country." Prior to that, she lived in New Jersey where she ran her own art gallery for 15 years. Before that, she worked for an ad agency in N.Y.C. She was a graduate of Skidmore College and Parsons School of Design.

She described herself and her art like this:
“I am basically a printmaker. My work is semi-realistic, whimsical, and somewhat imaginative.”

Printmaking (etchings and lithography) she did during the winter, and in the summer she painted watercolor landscapes. She also work as a medical photographer.

She studied and taught etching at Potsdam State University, and exhibited at the regional shows each year. She also had several one person shows at The Remington Art Museum in Ogdensburg NY. Gallery exhibits in N.Y.C. included the Atlantic Gallery, and at Agora Gallery, and her work has been shown in national print shows from Boston to San Francisco.
