Frequently asked questions

Made to Order/ Pre order Items

For any made to order items, the turn around time is 4 to 6 weeks. This is about how long it takes for me to fill my kiln; which holds between 40 to 70 pots.

I strive to keep my studio practice as eco friendly as possible, so I only fire the kiln when it is full to maximize my energy use. Depending on when you order within the cycle, I may be able to get your order to you sooner than the typical 4 to 6 week turnaround time.

Care instructions

Any pot with luster (mother of pearl, gold, and white gold) is hand wash only and not safe for microwave. The gold and white gold used on pottery is real 22K gold and will spark in the microwave as it is real metal.

All other mugs without luster are safe for microwave and dishwasher; handwashing is recommended especially for those mugs with lots of sculpture bits.

Gift wrapping and packaging

For most items, I double box. The pot is wrapped in tissue paper and a small amount of bubble wrap, then placed in a double walled box. Then that box is placed in a larger box with eco friendly, dissolvable packing peanuts. I also reuse a combination of shipping materials I receive in the mail if they are clean. as ceramics are breakable, I take great care in how I package my work; I find double boxing is the best protection for insuring a safe arrival to it's new home.
