Cross Stitch Patterns & Cross Stitch Zines
Hey friends!
If you are here, thank you! I like to stab fabric, but I'm also obsessed with making pixels into designs you can stitch. I also enjoy the process of making zines full of cross stitch patterns. I hope you enjoy!
I started cross stitching in 2012 and found an immediate liking to it. Soon, I was designing patterns for myself, using the my basic knowledge of pixel art from playing old video games. In 2019, I released my first patterns into the world. My growth and journey has been the best part of the process, as I've learned how to better apply color palettes and motifs that stitchers will find enjoyable as they go. I also discovered a new love for zines (self-published booklets) and sometimes you'll find digital and printed versions of my zines, which are typically full of themed cross stitch patterns.
My designs are typically whimsical, a little dark, and sometimes a little gothic. Whimsy dark, maybe? I have a huge fascination with bats, Greek Mythology, vaporwave, celestial vibes, the cottagecore aesthetic, and skulls. I design specifically for you to play with fancy fabric. Stitching on white linen & aida has a time and place, but I love the way my designs pop on hand-dyed aidas.
My Gemini roots also make me an extremely indecisive person, so many of my designs include alternatives bits like inclusive skin tones, fresh palettes, and opportunities for you to customize to your own aesthetic.
I'm sorry, I don't currently accept custom requests for fresh patterns, my mind is brimming with too many ideas and I can't get to them all!
Why BAD Stitch? My name is Amanda, so By Amanda DeLong = BAD Stitch seemed appropriate! My first cross stitch zines were also published under this moniker.
I hope you enjoy my ever-growing collection of cross stitch patterns! If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out!
Happy Stitching!
