It Started With Love For Sports...
My passion for making jewelry started years ago when I was 16.
For me, jewelry has always represented who I am and what I love. It's why I created a BU hockey bracelet with a key and lock charm, signifying how college hockey is the key to my heart (lame I know, but completely fits my sports-obsessed personality!) For years, I've used my jewelry to symbolize passion and to always give me strength.
Now, I hope to do the same for others. Each metal-stamped bracelet and piece I create is meant to symbolize something important or empowering.
When I was 16 years old, a friend of mine gave me a Patriots bracelet. She made it, using letter beads to spell out "Patriots," surrounded by red, white and blue beads. I was a huge Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics fan, but since I had moved to New Jersey when I was much younger, it was hard to buy Boston-themed jewelry other than online.
Her bracelet gave me an idea -- why not make the jewelry?
So I started making sports-themed jewelry for myself, replicating logos out of clay and putting them on earrings, bracelets and necklaces.
I expanded to other kinds of jewelry (mostly wire-based designs) and decided I've spent so much money on jewelry supplies and I've made so many pieces of jewelry that it would be nice to start selling them.
But I still use jewelry to represent different things. I made myself a hockey-themed bracelet with a hope charm on, symbolizing what hockey has always meant to me. I made a blue-and-yellow bracelet for my former boss, something to signify the Boston marathon (I was in Boston in April 2013, since I just graduated from BU).
So with this jewelry, every piece represents hope, love and strength.
I hope you enjoy looking through my shop and I'd love to hear any feedback or questions you may have. I look forward to hearing from you!
