Beyvan Schantz: Ceramics and Glass

I started my Etsy shop in the winter of 2010 while working as an assistant at Gilmor Glass in Millerton, NY, a production glass studio. I'd been experimenting with Christmas ornaments and wanted to sell them somewhere. I had heard of Etsy and decided to give it a shot! Since then, I've expanded to feature more than just ornaments.

I'm a full-time teaching artist working with primarily high school students in ceramics, and I teach workshops in glass. I'm making both ceramic and glass work now, as often as I can. I photograph, pack, and ship everything from home. I'm really enjoying being an Etsy seller!

I grew up in Pittsburgh and began working with clay when I was about 7. I received a BFA from Alfred University in 2009. After Alfred, I worked at a production glass studio for a few years. I am now back in Pittsburgh making both glass and clay work.
