Frequently asked questions
What does Blackhaven Archives sell?
Blackhaven Archives creates original Victorian dark academia cross stitch patterns inspired by rare specimens, forgotten artifacts, botanical studies, celestial observations, ravens, curiosities, and the imagined holdings of a fictional Victorian archival institution established in 1887.
Our patterns are designed as collectible digital stitching experiences, not simply charts.
Are your patterns physical products or digital downloads?
All patterns are digital downloads so no physical pattern, fabric, floss, kit, or finished artwork will be mailed.
Digital files are delivered through Etsy after purchase.
How do I access my digital pattern?
After purchasing, Etsy provides access to your digital files through your Etsy order/download area. We recommend saving your files to a secure location after downloading so they remain readily available for your stitching records.
Can I print the patterns?
Yes. Blackhaven Archives patterns are provided as PDF files intended for digital viewing and printing for your own personal stitching use.
You may print the pattern for your own project, but the files themselves may not be copied, redistributed, resold, or shared.
Are Blackhaven Archives patterns compatible with Pattern Keeper?
Pattern Keeper compatibility PDF pattern is provided as part of your download.
What thread do your patterns use?
Blackhaven Archives patterns primarily use DMC embroidery floss. Each listing specifies the number of colors used and whether blends are included.
Color counts and palettes vary by artifact, so please consult the individual listing for complete pattern specifications.
What if I have a problem with my download?
Please contact Blackhaven Archives through Etsy with your order number and a description of the problem.
If a file is missing, corrupted, or otherwise not functioning as intended, we will investigate and provide assistance.
