I fell in love with photography as a kid on a school trip to Ellis Island, walking around with a Kodak camera that could switch formats. That experience sparked my curiosity—not just about taking photos, but about why we choose certain perspectives and how small decisions shape what we see.
In high school, a photographer gave me a piece of advice that’s stuck with me ever since: always look behind you. It’s easy to focus on the obvious shot, but some of the most compelling images come from turning around and noticing what others might miss.
Twenty-five years later, that idea still guides my approach. I’m drawn to wide, open landscapes where composition, light, and perspective work together—and where framing becomes just as important as the subject itself. I approach each scene with an emphasis on observation, often finding stronger images by shifting my vantage point and reworking the point of view.
For me, photography comes down to a few core ideas: capturing a moment in time, evoking emotion, and experiencing places we’ve never been—or seeing familiar ones in a new way. I want my photographs to feel calm, familiar, and just a little unexpected—images that invite you to slow down, take a second look, and go explore.

5 out of 5 starsThe photograph and frame are gorgeous. I bought this for my husbands office/study and it looks great. It also shipped way faster than I would have expected so that was a plus. Beautiful photo.
