Where the beauty of copper is forged in fire and made for nature.
Welcome to Browersmith Copperworks!
Our name tells our story. Browersmith is a blend of our two-family names; Brower, the family name of our craftsman Paul, and Smith, the maiden name of his wife and business partner, Kathi. Much like the old-world blacksmiths who shaped metal by hand generations ago, Paul hand-forges each piece of copper art one at a time, creating work that is both functional and deeply artistic.
Paul is not a hobbyist maker. With a four-year degree in manufacturing, journeyman-level metalworking skills, years of prototype development experience for major Fortune 500 office furniture manufacturers, and a background in metrology - the science of precision measurement, he brings an uncommon level of technical mastery to every design.
For more than eight years, Paul has been shaping solid 100% copper into heirloom-quality pieces inspired by nature. Every mushroom sculpture, rain gauge, landscape light, and bird feeder is individually handcrafted in our Michigan studio using traditional metalworking techniques, fire, patience, and artistic instinct.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike.
As copper naturally ages, it develops rich character, warm tones, and beautiful verdigris patinas that make each sculpture even more distinctive over time. We embrace those imperfections and variations because they are the mark of true handmade craftsmanship.
Behind the scenes, Kathi manages the business operations, customer care, and creative direction with more than 25 years of accounting and business experience. Together, we personally oversee every order to ensure the same level of care goes into your experience as goes into creating the art itself.
When you purchase from Browersmith Copperworks, you are not simply buying a product, you are investing in authentic handcrafted copper art made exclusively by the hands of a dedicated American craftsman and family-owned business.
Thank you for supporting handmade artistry and allowing our work to become part of your home and garden.
