BuckoSantaFe is a woman owned and operated business and I am all about making women of all shapes and sizes feel good about themselves! I create comfortable and flattering jersey clothing that travels extremely well! Each piece is designed and handcrafted in my studio in Santa Fe, New Mexico!

I have always been fascinated by creating my own clothes - may it be a style of pants that I could not find in a store or knitting a sweater with a unique design and color. I come from a long line of tailors and dressmakers. I learned early on as a teenager in Germany how to make my own clothing patterns, to sew, manipulate and paint fabrics. The design and creation of clothing has always been a way of supporting myself during my extensive travels abroad. Eventually I settled in the southwestern part of the United States in Santa Fe. The natural beauty of the high desert and the famous blue skies of northern New Mexico have been a great source of inspiration that are reflected in my colorful dress designs.

Comfort, style and great fit is of the utmost importance to me, as well as using sustainable and recycled fabrics as often as possible. The fabrics I like to use most often in my designs are rayon and bamboo jersey knit as well as buttery soft viscose linens with the occasional wool blend for the cooler winter seasons. My fabrics are comfortable, flattering and machine washable.

My studio is fully equipped with multiple, industrial grade sewing machines that are capable of producing a variety of techniques from ruching to lettuce hems thus giving the garments the professional finish that is so important to me.
