At the heart of Candle Maker Dude is Billy, a Marine and Army veteran who brings his attention to detail—and plenty of humor—to every candle he hand-pours. Billy’s experience in the military has shaped his meticulous work ethic, but he’s swapped out MREs for soy wax, adding a little levity to his process. Each candle is poured with precision, care, and a bit of that military humor that’s bound to make you smile.
Dannica, our label design expert, uses her extensive background in design to ensure each candle looks as good as it smells. From heartfelt messages to laugh-out-loud labels, she’s got every custom detail covered, making sure our candles are both visually stunning and filled with personality.
Our 17-year-old daughter, Shaylee, is the master of labeling, packing, and shipping. With an eye for detail (and the occasional teenage side-eye), she ensures each candle is carefully prepared and sent off with love. Her dedication keeps everything running smoothly, bringing organization to our lively workspace.
Then we have Kason and Callie, our youngest team members. They might live here rent-free, but they contribute with essential roles of their own—Kason as our “chief fragrance sniffer,” always eager to give his seal of approval, and Callie as our resident expert in cuteness. Together, they keep our family business lively and full of joy.
