Perfectly Flawed is Perfection!
Since the age of 9 years, I've always had a habit of not wanting to let go of clothes that I had outgrown. My mother didn't agree with my wanting to keep things, so I decided to alter the clothing to make them fit, some kind of way.
It all began with a T-Shirt that my older brother wore and I really was jealous of it. He had given it to me because it tore, and I went bonkers with the scissors and sewing needles. I hand sewn a top and skirt for myself from this XL T-Shirt and it turned out pretty cute! I still have it til this day! (20+years later)
I had also learned how to crochet around the same time by my cousin Kauren, who is like a big sister to me. I began taking basic blanket stitches that she had shown me and started making pager (beeper) cases for fellow classmates, then dance bags for the cheerleaders... eventually friends started asking me if I could make more elaborate things, bikini's, baby clothes, shorts and tops for them, and so on. In the end, several years later, I had done a few fashion shows and had orders coming in faster than I could produce.
I called my business K-BABY Clothing!
Once I moved from MI to FL, I discovered the need for Go-Go dancers to have shiny bras and what not. Well, the one's that I saw were so expensive and after examining a few items at the fabric store, I decided that I would help out those individuals who want the same things but still within a reasonable budget.
Ive taken my hobbies of dance, crochet, and designing and relaunched my business as Flawed Perfexion!
