My Dogs First Inspired me to Paint!
Thanks for checking out my shop!! I am a wife and mother to 2 girls (in their 20s) and 2 puggles. We recently moved to St. Augustine, FL after living in the Atlanta area for 27 years. I am a graduate of the Milan Art Institute's mastery program.
I started my shop on Etsy in 2007 when I quit my full-time job to stay at home with my girls and dogs. I was coaxed by repetitive dreams and then inspired to paint my dogs. I started selling a few original paintings on Etsy and eBay. Then I commissioned pet portraits on and off for about 5 years. I have painted so many animals over the past 11 years, but only post a small variety of "best sellers" here. I have been in museum shows, local art festivals, galleries, pet stores, magazine covers and even on TV to paint a newscaster's dog on Good Morning Atlanta!
My love for animals is evident in my work and I'm currently obsessed with intuitive painting. It has brought new life into my joy of painting-- it frees me from having to decide what to paint. As I just have fun with the paint, images sort of just begin to appear. Lots of practice has allowed me to bring that intuitive (and sometimes spiritual) messages through into a cohesive piece. I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of art in color and form. I hope that my art can help you in some way.
