My name is Celeste and I am the creator of Circle & Square. Ever since I was a little girl, I wanted to create and make things that put a smile on a person's face and made their day a little brighter - whether that was making bracelets & drawings in elementary school, making my own snow-cones in high school, or standing outside in the freezing weather early on Black Friday making hot chocolate to frozen shoppers. It wasn't until I was one of the few women to walk into my businesses classes at the time....that I realized my heritage had brought me in through those doors. I not only come from a line of successful, talented small shop women...but my ancestors all the way back to the 1880s felt the call to create.
I tried to forget this "call" when I first become a mother. While my heart was full as well as my hands...I felt lost after my little one was asleep. Enter Dieter F Uchtdorf’s wonderful words of wisdom in his speech “Happiness, Your Heritage” It spoke to my heart and still does….”the desire to create is one of the deepest yearnings of the human soul”.
Circle & Square is that yearning of mine brought to life. I wanted to create something that helped people and was uniquely theirs. I love knowing that my creations make people happy, more centered, and feel like they can take on the world when they look at their calendar and say to themselves “I’m doing this today”.
