Refunds | Cancellations | Replacement

As items are personalized and custom-made, CMC does not offer refunds.

During checkout, please verify the following:
✅ The shipping address is correct.
✅ There are no typos on personalized orders.
✅ The item in the shopping cart is correct.

⭐ Cancellations & Personalized Corrections: Requests are accepted within 3 hours of purchase. ★★★ Once I begin creating your item, it's too late for cancellations or changes.
⭐ Personalization info is taken directly from customers receipt.
⭐ Sorry, free replacements are not provided for customer or USPS errors.

✨ My Quality Guarantee: If I make a mistake, I'll make it right! Send a photo of the error & I'll provide either a free replacement or a full refund.

Shipping Issues & Damage

Lost in transit - If tracking shows no movement for 7 days after the last tracking update, customers are directed to please open a case through Etsy’s Purchase Protection.

I do not replace/refund for lost packages, as this is covered by Etsy's Purchase Protection.

If your item arrives damaged, message me with:
✅ Clear photos of the damage.
✅ Photos of ALL packaging (inside/outside) showing the shipping label.
✅ If damage isn't clear, I may require additional photos.
✅ AI generated photos of damage are not accepted & will be reported.

I will file a USPS claim for damages. USPS may require an online affidavit or addition photos from customer. Failure to provide required info may result in denial of a refund or replacement.

Delivered but Missing

When USPS tracking confirms Customer package as "Delivered," CMC is unable to offer a refund or replacement. Once marked delivered, the package is considered successfully received.

If Customer cannot locate the package:

Search the area: Check all entrances, porches, and with neighbors.

Contact the local USPS: As the recipient, Customer's have the most direct access to delivery details. Ask the local branch for the GPS delivery coordinates to verify exactly where it was dropped off.

Report Theft: If Customer suspects mail theft, please file a report with the U.S. Postal Inspection Service. Mail theft is a federal offense. These reports also help protect Customer's future deliveries.

PROCESSING, CREATION, SHIPPING, and DELIVERY

★ Processing Time: The time your item waits in queue, is handcrafted, and packaged. Our average is 1–4 business days (max 7). Business days are Mon–Fri.

★ Ship Date: The specific "ship by date" is located in customer's receipt. Items ship on or before this date, excluding weekends & holidays.

★ Estimated Delivery: Dates shown in listings are estimates provided by Etsy, not CMC. Neither USPS nor CMC guarantees delivery dates.

★ Important Notes:
"Need by" dates: We cannot prioritize orders based on "need by" dates as we have no control over USPS transit times.

Carrier Delays: CMC is not responsible for USPS scan-in delays or transit issues.

Delivered Items: CMC is not responsible for lost or stolen items once tracking confirms delivery.

Change of address || Items returned to Sender || Re-shipping Fee

Address: Per Etsy Purchase Protection, we ship to the address on customer receipt. If an address change is needed, we'll cancel the order so Customer can reorder with the correct details. Cancellations aren't possible once an item is created and/or beyond the 3 hour cancellation window. We may occasionally use the recommended USPS-verified address.


Returned to Sender: Items returned to CMC will only be reshipped once tracking shows received by CMC & the new shipping fee is paid by Customer. Re-shipping Fee will include handling & listing fees, in addition to postage. This applies to all orders, including those originally qualifying for "Free Shipping" or the $35+ free shipping.

Custom | Personalized orders and What happens if customer provides incorrect info for a personalized order?

DATES - I create items using the date format shown in the listing photo. If customer would like a different date design, please send email before purchasing to inquire if it can be fit into the design. A design fee may apply.

NAMES - I spell names exactly as provided by the Customer. Including lack of, or use of all capital letters.

Customer gives wrong info: If item is created, I can recreate it. There will be a substrate charge between $3-$12 to cover the cost of a new item.
If the item has been mailed, customer can purchase a new item with the corrected info.
There are no refunds for personalized/custom purchases.
If I make a mistake - I'm not infallible - I'll most certainly cover it.

COLORS | VIBRANCY | COLOR HUES | VEWING DEVICE

What we see on a computer monitor, laptop, smart device, tablet, etc is emitted light (a light source behind the object - illuminating the object from behind). What we see on a physical item is reflected light. The nature of both types of light and how our eyes react makes exact color matching impossible.

Every viewing device has different viewing settings. Every viewing device and search engine has different color calibrations.

Due to these inherent differences, we cannot guarantee a 100% color, vibrancy, or hue match. We ask customers to keep this in mind when placing an order. If a 100% color match is expected, we kindly ask customers to message us, so we can review how color calibrations work with illuminated vs. physical objects.

Tracking & USPS Scans

Tracking: Allow 24–48 hours (longer on weekends/holidays) for the initial scan as received. During USPS peak seasons, longer delays are common.

Transit in bulk: After a package is received, USPS often ships packages together "in bulk." If a package is shipped in bulk, transit/tracking may show scans at regional hubs that seem far out of the way of the destination.

Scanning Patterns: A package may not show a scan until it reaches a hub near Customer or even until the moment of delivery. I always keep an eye on tracking and will reach out to Customer if I think there may be an USPS issue.

Images, Coupons and sales, Etsy contact, Listings titles and descriptions, Terms of Service, Purchase Agreements

Any images not of my own design have been purchased and used with a commercial license.

🔸Coupons and sales cannot be combined, one or the other is to be used.

🔸Contact is through Etsy email/messages. I do not converse outside of Etsy.

🔸Customers may not pick and choose the wording in a listing title in an attempt to negotiate, negate, or void listing descriptions after purchase.

🔸By making a purchase from the Coffee Mug Café, you agree and are bound by the policies and terms of Coffee Mug Café, Etsy's ToS and House Rules for Buyers. You have read the item's listing description in its entirety, understand it, and agree to it.
