Do I have a crazy amount of mugs?
I do! I love collecting fun mugs from places I’ve visited with my husband and son. When I first began sublimating, I had a lot, and I mean a lot of mugs - because I messed up a lot in the beginning! Now I have a lot from keeping my favorite funny mugs, sarcastic mugs, and my F-bombs. I love starting my day with one of my designs and coffee. At night, I switch to my “please help me sleep” tea mugs.
My son? He practically lives on hot chocolate—how he drinks it in the middle of a scorching desert day is beyond me! He has a whole collection of cutesy plastic and enamel mugs I’ve made for him. And, of course, he has an excessive number of school water bottles. I love making his custom ones, and his friends are always asking where he got them (‘cause they’re just that cool).
One of the most fun things? Making water bottles and giant mugs with images I can’t sell but can buy for personal use—think superheroes. My family loves them!
Ornaments? Oh yeah, we have a boatload. I even bought a bunch of lighted trees just to display them. We have Christmas ornament trees all over the house, plus Easter trees and Halloween trees. My son has some awesome spooky ornament trees in his game room.
Mousepads? Lol, so many. But hey, I love it!
So here are some facts about my items (I hand make everything):
Ceramic and plastic coffee mugs are microwave and dishwasher safe.
Water bottles (sport bottles and tumblers) should be hand washed. The very high heat and sanitize option can fade the color over time, and occasionally the intense heat can activate sublimated design and make the dark color run.
All other items are dishwasher safe, even the Pet ID tags! I create all my items using high heat commercial inks and a high heat process that permanently imprints my designs directly -into- the finish (or fabric) of my goodies. I never use vinyl decals or stickers.
I would like my shoppers to know that I create my items in my home studio, in NV, U.S.A. My studio is 100% smoke free (we don't smoke, it's really bad for your health). BUT we have 4 cats and 1 dog. So if anyone is allergic, be aware. My items are created using the sublimation process. This is where I create my designs in Photoshop CC and print my designs. Then I use a high heat press that 'imprints' the design into the finish of the substrate (mugs, mousepads, etc). My customers should expect that as all of my items are sublimated and not laser cut, nor are they vinyl decals - thus images and words may not necessarily have a very fine point edge. With my items being handmade for each and every order, my customers should know that there can be small imperfections that completely reflect the love and custom work that I put into each and every creation.
Since opening my shop back in Christmas 2016, there are so many things that can be created using the sublimation process. Pet ID tags, camping mugs, water bottles, mousepads, coffee coasters, and ornaments! I hope you find something in my shop you love, cause I love making them!
