Handcrafted Cork Animals Made with Care & Love!

I have been an elementary school teacher for 23 years and currently teach fourth grade. I love my fourth graders, but I love creating things, too! I was an art major at UC Santa Barbara in the late 1980's and have always had my creative side bubbling underneath the surface. In March of 2020, I decided to make my creative endeavors official by opening my shop CorkiesBySteph. It has been a blast! It is so fun to come up with the animal designs and see which animal shapes lend themselves to becoming Corkies. I have had numerous friends and customers ask if I could make a certain type of animal and I like the challenge of trying to come up with a visually pleasing product. The possibilities for Corkies are endless which is so exciting. My creative wheels are always turning and the ideas for new animals (and maybe other creatures soon?) just keep coming. I want each Corkie to be perfect and I say a little goodbye before I put them in their mailing box, "Goodbye little buddy, I hope you enjoy your new home!"
