Starting Over
My store started a few years ago in my mind, which is why I've been a part of Etsy longer than I've actually been selling on it. I started selling some small things that I made but never really caught on. At the time my family and I were military affiliated so we always had a lot going on. My son's autism diagnosis was another thing that really kept me from giving my shop the time it needed.
We eventually moved from Ft. Knox, to Oahu, HI and have been there ever since. It was my husband's first duty station and since we were told they had great autism services we jumped at the opportunity to go back. A few years later my daughter showed up and my store had started to become a supply shop with a name. As Christmas of 2017 rolled around, I was finding my flow and making plans for the growth for my shop. However, my family found ourselves in the middle of tragedy and those plans quickly ended.
We lost our son in a tragic accident Christmas morning. So I turned to art in my grief. So as I design things they are a form of therapy as well as a means to support my family. So that is the reason for all of the changes. From a super cute shop for kawaii crafters, to an art store with a bunch of things that are just an expression of my grief, depression, adhd and womanhood.
