Deb's art endeavors go back to childhood and her attempts of working her pla-dough on her 45 rpm record player. Results were not so good back in those days... so fast forward to her current work. Clay these days gives her much better results.

After many years of working with earthenware clay, she continues to push the limits of her medium using a combination of glazes, textures and carving her own clay stamps (many times backwards for lettering). The challenges are limitless with clay and that is what Deb enjoys most about her ceramic work.

In 2013, she discovered the wonderful world of torching enamel onto copper. A new love was discovered after taking a one day class at a local art school. Instead of waiting hours for the kiln to cool before opening (she still loves those moments, too) there are immediate results right before her eyes as she watches the enamel melt and glow with the heat of the torch.
