Whether I'm combing the beaches of California or finding the best beads in Barcelona, I always find something in local culture, art or just the landscape which will inspire me. Always dreaming up new ideas and ways to implement them.
Jewelry making is something I've always done, but just for gift giving and my own desire to wear something no one else had. Something special. Years ago, while in Spain, I decided I wanted to make some sea glass jewelry for myself with the sea glass I had found on the beach. I also found beautiful beads in the old part of Barcelona, most of which I'd never seen available back in the states. Of course me being me, I bought as much as I could fit into my suitcase and brought them home.
The summer of 2011 my boyfriend and I decided to sell our house and buy a new RV and travel the U.S. The end of 2011 we left Minnesota and started our clockwise trek around the U.S. I continue to acquire beautiful beads, findings and techniques everywhere I travel. After tinkering around with new ideas and playing with my supplies I finally opened my shop in July of 2012 (it says 2010 on here, but that's incorrect). UPDATE: In 2016 we finally decided to settle down and build in Twisp, WA. We are still restless at heart and travel a lot. I had my shop offline for a few years to concentrate on my polish/bath & beauty products over at Baroness X (you can find me on Etsy and online as I have my own website where I sell more than what is just offered here on Etsy).
Always wanting to sell my jewelry, I found the place here at Etsy. I have so much pigment, glitter, paint, and beads that I decided I'd either have to sell most of my supplies or up my creative time and open an Etsy shop. I couldn't part with all the beauties I have acquired in my travels so here I am sharing my wearable beauty with the world.
Please feel free to contact me for any special requests or custom orders. Thanks for checking out my store!
UPDATE:
I have another shop here on Etsy. "BaronessX" is where I sell my handmade indie nail polish which is made with a non-toxic, 5-free and cruelty-free blend. Some of the polishes I make are used in my jewelry.
