After winning a scholarship in high school by helping to illustrate a safety notebook for OSHA, I later earned my degree with a focus on fashion and graphic design. I worked many years as a corporate art consultant before focusing my creativity on jewelry design and glass fusing. It was during this period that I bought an art gallery in Neptune Beach, Florida which specialized in representing local and national artist.
After a long hiatus I returned a few years ago to my first love, painting. I still remember as child my excitement at receiving a paint by number kitty cat. To this day I still experience that same joy when I start painting. I find bliss and inspiration from the natural beauty that surrounds me in Florida where I live with my husband and our two cats. On the East Coast, I often find that brief, golden moment of sunrise or sunset to be a magical time that generates a lot of creativity.
I am honored to have my art featured in many juried exhibitions and for having won a People’s Choice Award. You can spy one of my paintings in chef Vivian Howard’s test kitchen on PBS’s Daytime Emmy award winning television show, “A Chef’s Life”, Season 3.
