Frequently asked questions

What happens if the item I purchase gets lost or damaged in the mail?

I mail all packages with tracking and insurance and pack them safely. In the case of an undelivered package, I will file a claim with USPS and I will wait for a response before I can refund the buyer the price of the item. I will do my best and work with clients to ensure they get their purchase or the price of the item, but it might take more than a month to figure things out, because of USPS processing timelines.

If the item arrives damaged due to mishandling during transit, please DO NOT THROW the package and packaging materials. Send me photos that show the damaged item and damaged packaging and I will use them to file a claim with USPS and get a refund on your behalf.

I will work with you for a good resolution.

Your priority insured shipping fee is too expensive. Can I get first class shipping?

The short answer is no: I charge the USPS fee for priority insured shipping in order to protect both myself and my clients, in case an item gets lost or damaged in the mail.

If a client requests a shipping service that does not provide tracking and insurance, contrary to my recommendation, and they insist on it, then they must agree in our written communication that there is risk involved in their shipping preference and that I have no responsibility for lost or damaged packages mailed in that way. Only after the client agrees to that, I might offer their shipping option, but it is in my discretion to deny, considering things like the item price or type of object.

You have a no-return/no-cancellation policy. What happens if I really want to return or cancel the item I purchased?

I do not accept returns or cancellations for buyer remorse. I encourage buyers to ask questions before making their purchase and request additional information and photos. I strive to provide accurate descriptions and clear images. My feedback attests to my high standards and my clients' satisfaction.

In rare cases in which a buyer will still request a return-refund despite the above, I may agree if the buyer pays the shipping cost both ways and a restocking fee of 20%. This fee is waved only if the buyer opts for store credit instead of refund. The item must be returned in its original condition and gift box, tracked and insured, postmarked within 14 days of initial delivery. Please consider the above before placing an order.

The item I received is damaged or not as described. Can I get a refund?

I work hard to provide accurate descriptions and clear photos of each item. However, I recognize the possibility of human error or defects unknown to me, so in the following cases I will accept a return for a full refund within 14 days:

1. The item has a serious defect, identified within 3 days of receipt. This cannot be damage due to inappropriate use. Client must provide photos to demonstrate the defect.

2. The item is not as shown in the photos and not as described. Photos are part of the description. If you see a discrepancy between the photos and the text of a listing due to human error (in the text) please ask about it before you make a purchase. Otherwise, I will assume you made your purchase on the basis of the photos.

Do you offer layaway plans?

Yes, I offer layaway options, usually for items priced $100 or higher. Details will vary depending on the cost of the item. Interested clients should contact me with a link of the item they want. I will come to an agreement with them about the length of time and the number of installments in which the item should be paid off.

The item will ship only after completion of full payment.

If a client has a change of heart about an item they are paying off or are unable to complete payments in a timely manner, according to the agreed-upon plan, the amount they have already paid turns into store credit they can apply towards another item, while the original item is relisted in the store.
