Emma Alamo here, self-taught leatherworker and garment maker based out of Chicago.
I strive to make things that make you feel more connected to your body, whether it’s a holster that frees up your hands so you can dance more, a harness that lets you live out your sexiest fantasies, or a piece of statement jewelry as bold as your personality. Us women, femmes, and gender minorities have had our bodily autonomy challenged and compromised to such a degree that it has become a radical act for us to own and appreciate our sexualities. We simply weren’t brought up to consider our own desires. The way I see it, if I can make a garment that makes a woman feel just a little bit more in touch with her body and her sexuality, then I’m doing my job right.
I think it’s a goddamn crime that so many companies that make sexy apparel neglect plus-size woman. There is literally no size or shape I won’t accommodate: if you don’t see your measurements on my sizing chart, or if you want something uniquely tailored to your uniquely awesome body, send me a message or request a custom order.
All items in my shop are handmade by yours truly, right down to the dying, beveling, and burnishing. I am always open to custom projects.
