Be confident about what you're bringing into your home. Non-toxic, eco-friendly, top notch quality, guaranteed.
Are you concerned by the amount of toxic chemicals found in everyday products? Me too.
My mission as an artist is to provide a product of the highest quality, without the harmful chemicals that most brands include. I use all natural soy wax, derived from US grown soybeans, lead and zinc free wicks, and phthalate-free, essential oil based fragrances. Every scent has been tested time and time again, and edited to perfection. Each candle is made with the highest quality ingredients, is completely non-toxic, and is recyclable and reusable. I pour my candles in small batches of four, allowing the best quality control. Each candle is made lovingly with the utmost care and attention to detail, here in Colorado Springs, Colorado. I am confident that all of my customers will be happy with their purchases.
If you've never heard of the dangers of phthalates, let me tell you about them. Phthalates are a class of chemicals, and they are contained in 70% of personal care products and plastics. In the past few years, researchers have linked phthalates to asthma, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, breast cancer, obesity and type II diabetes, low IQ, neurodevelopmental issues, behavioral issues, autism spectrum disorders, altered reproductive development, and male fertility issues. Unfortunately, it is not required to list phthalates as ingredients in many products, so just looking for a label that doesn't show a form of the chemical listed isn't going to help you avoid it. It is suggested to look for "phthalate free" or "no phthalate" labels to steer clear of the nasty chemicals. Knowing this information, I avoid all phthalates that I can, in personal life, and as a business, I can promise you that none of my products will ever contain something so harmful. I only order fragrances listed as phthalate free, and never anything else. I'm not only concerned for my safety and that of my family, but for you and yours as well.
So, why soy wax instead of paraffin wax? Let's start with what they're made of. Soy wax, is, of course, a derivative of soybeans, while paraffin is a by-product of petroleum. Sounds pretty bad already, right? Soy wax is also natural, and 100% non-toxic, while paraffin wax emits harmful vapors when it is burned (it comes from gas, remember?). Soy burns cleaner and 25-50% longer, while paraffin produces soot, and doesn't always burn completely even. Soy wax can be easily cleaned up with soap and hot water, but paraffin is much harder. Soy naturally holds fragrance better than paraffin, which needs chemical additives to be able to release scent. Lastly, soy wax supports the farmers, while paraffin supports the oil industry! Not to mention, soy is biodegradable.
I would really love if you could recycle or reuse your jars when your candle is burned completely! Here's some ways to reuse your jars:
To clean jar, use a knife to pop out any remaining wax. Soak in hot water to remove label. If using for any kind of food or drink, put in dishwasher for a cycle to remove any remnant of wax. Some ideas for reuse: plant a succulent, make a terrarium, store bobby pins or other small items, glue on a doily to make a luminary for tealights, reuse as a cup, save loose change, or poke a hole in the lid and use as a yarn or ribbon dispenser.
Be confident in what you're bringing into your home. Non-toxic, eco-friendly, and top notch quality, guaranteed.
