Handcrafting Whimsical Toys in the Pines
Hello and welcome — I’m Bridget, the hands and heart behind Fox in the Pines Designs, a little woodland toy studio tucked within Peach in the Pines Co.
What began as a small spark — a quiet urge to return to my long-neglected love of woodworking — slowly grew into a warm and steady flame. In 2020, after years of dreaming, I opened this shop with just a handful of handmade pieces and a prayer that new inspiration would follow. Over time, that spark became a genuine calling: creating whimsical wooden toys, infant accessories, and nostalgic gifts that honor simplicity and childhood wonder.
I’ve always held a deep affection for “back to basics” play — toys that don’t beep or blink, but instead invite imagination, storytelling, and gentle learning. Inspired by nature, Montessori principles, and the charm of earlier times, I design each pattern myself and craft every piece by hand in my little studio among the pine forests of Southeast Georgia. Whenever possible, I use reclaimed or natural materials, especially pine wood, which has become a signature part of my process.
This journey has required patience, discipline, and faith, and I’m humbled by the doors the Lord has opened along the way. I’m endlessly grateful for the support of my family and for every customer who welcomes one of my creations into their home.
