I've never liked the idea of having to "niche down" or to choose one style to stick to in the name of "branding". People are multi-dimensional. We're allowed to transform and grow. We have the freedom to change our minds, be whoever we want to be, whenever we want to. So I want my art to reflect that.

Your home can be like your own little world. It's where you spend the majority of your time. You can make up your own rules and integrate every part of your personality into it. You don't have to pick one specific style curated by someone else's Pinterest board or what the world tells you "looks best". It's your home, not the world's. Boho? Modern? Cottagecore? Farmhouse? Eclectic? Why not all of it? Why not add a little bit of everything you love to represent all the parts of yourself?

Much like my art, you don't have to make yourself small by squeezing yourself into a box or by hiding your multifaceted self behind a label either. You can be everything you want and more.

✿✿ About Me ✿✿
As a sober girly whose chronic illness can sometimes make going out feel impossible, my world/life can often feel cramped within the confines my one bedroom apartment. Before adopting Luna in June of 2023, I'd spend the "bad" days solemnly staring at the blank white walls surrounding me. And, with no ounce of joy or inspiration, they solemnly stared right back!

A few months after Luna came into my life, I decided to make a drastic change to our environment so she wouldn't have to feel the same. Creating a fresh start, we moved across the country, wiping away the remnants of a past life, and began rebuilding a new one for ourselves.

Sure, it's just a home, but some days our entire world and life is our home. And if we're able to, we can at least try to make it one we love being in.

And one way we can do that is by making space for things that spark bits of joy and excitement within us. Which, although might seem small and insignificant in the moment, have a subtle way of tapping into our subconscious, affecting our perceptions, ourselves, and lives entirely.

And with all that being said, that's why I decided to create art with personality. To add life to boring walls. So that the next time you or I catch ourselves staring off into space (aka whichever wall's in front of us), it might help us feel a little okay again:)
