About Goondock Creations
Let's start with the name... Goondock Creations.
As a kid (and even to this day) my favorite movie has always been "The Goonies". It reminds me a lot of growing up and going on adventures in the neighborhood with friends which kind of make us "goonies". The nostalgia from that movie has followed me throughout life and to this store.
Goondock Creation is the collection of nostalgia, creativeness, weird, adventurous and fun ideas that come out of my head and into the art world. Just like the movie, our creations help create a story for you to tell and for us to tell as well.
Since an early age, I have always loved art and started pursuing it as I got into college. With an art scholarship to UMASS Dartmouth, I walked in the first day as an Illustration major and entered the liberal arts hallway. I instantly looked around and thought to myself "this isn't for me", and switched my major to computer science. It was at that moment, my love and passion for something ive always done was lost... UNTIL NOW!
Fast forward 23 years (because how wants to hear the boring in-between)...
Early in January of 2023, I was laying in bed with COVID (for the 2nd time) and took out my iPad and started to doodle. Those doodles turned into more elaborate drawings which ignited my passion to do art again. Within weeks, I had a store up and was finishing drawing after drawing and couldn't stop.
So here we are today! I hope all of you who read this and enjoy my work know that you are an honor Goonie with each purchase, and hope that you can pass on the stories of your items with those around you and create new adventures.
Lastly, I wanted to give a special thanks to my wife Nicole who has been the most supportive person in all of this. She has endured printing, packaging, messy kitchens (I have no real work space), market place setups (in the rain and wind) and tons more. I wouldn't be here today if it wasn't not for her <3
