Kenya ♥ Croatia
I was lucky enough to be able to follow a dream I didn't know I had until I finished my education: I emigrating to Kenya for 17 glorious years.
Having finishing a Graphic Design degree at Bath College of Higher Education, West of England, my illustrative style developed further as I immersed myself in Nairobi's cosmopolitan noise whilst living close to the African bush.
My inspiration? The vast landscapes and colours, the hustle and bustle, the small details, the humour and the ready smiles which where all new to me as a foreigner.
I set up a small, home-run business taking on commission work, adding a bit of humour, fun and artistic license to many different requests.
Greeting card illustration followed which turned out to be a very popular side line.
All my illustrations are hand drawn and painted. I then scan them onto the computer to turn them into my stationery products.
I now live a European lifestyle in Zagreb, Croatia with my family, giving me an opportunity to build up a new collection of illustrations with a European twist.
