A Gift With A Lasting Impact!
Authentic olive wood carvings and crosses have so much significance to Christians around the world, and we work to honor that importance at iHolyLand Crafts.
Throughout the Holy Land, you’ll find Christian artisans who understand that importance too, and they work to create all of the items in our store using traditional olive wood carving methods that were developed centuries ago. Every item in our store was handcrafted by artisans who learned their skills at the feet of their fathers before them, and every single product was designed to help you honor your faith.
The olive tree has long been recognized as a symbol of peace, and it’s mentioned multiple times in the Bible. In Matthew, Jesus prays near an olive tree in Gethsemane just before he was crucified, but that’s far from the only time it’s mentioned. In Jeremiah, it is referred to as a tree with great splendor. Even as early as Genesis, it is the olive tree that brings Noah a sign of hope.
Please note that the Olive Trees are sacred to us, and No trees are ever harmed while making these works of art. Each piece is made from sustainably sourced wood that we collect yearly during the pruning of our trees to encourage their growth.
Years ago, we were blessed with the opportunity to come to the United States. Christians by birth, but we didn’t take the decision to leave lightly. Instead, we understand how important it is to continue our support of the Holy Land and its rich tradition of Christian artisans.
Unfortunately, the Christian existence in the Holy Land is decreasing rapidly and nearly ceased to exist. As of today, the total Christian population in the Holy Land is less than 2%. The majority of these Christians make their livelihood from the selling of their carvings.
Our mission is to support and strengthen the presence of Christians in the Holy Land by selling their beautiful olive wood crafts.
