Why isnt my tracking number updating?
I print the label on the same day I am able to drop it off at the post office. When you select Standard Shipping for $1 (aka Snail Mail) Etsy and the Post Office have not found a valid way to track envelopes as they move through the system with the Etsy generated tracking number.
While they are usually pretty good at delivering within the delivery window given to you at checkout, there are unforeseen circumstances within the post office that can slow delivery down that are out of my control once I drop it off.
If you would like more accurate tracking for your order, select express checkout at delivery and your order will ship as a package instead of a envelope which costs significantly more through the post office!
My order says it was delivered, but I didnt receive it!
Unfortunately this is a post office issue with Etsy generated shipping labels. The post office has a habit of marking envelopes as delivered when they sort them at main hubs near the delivery location a few business days before they actually send it to your local post office for delivery.
Please be patient as I am unable to do anything on my end once it has been dropped off at the post office and we are both at the mercy of the post office delivering it 😀
I will always put the description of what your order looks like when its shipped in the email that you receive from Etsy when I ship your item so you know what to keep an eye out for!
