No comencé a elaborar en serio hasta que tenía 44 años. Tuve el sueño de crear arte y dirigir una pequeña empresa durante muchos años antes de actuar en consecuencia. Un día me di cuenta de que no quería llegar al final de mi vida y me arrepiento de que nunca había *intentado* al menos cumplir mi sueño. Dar ese primer paso para EMPEZAR a crear fue lo mejor que hice. Ahora, es mi pasión alentar a otras personas (especialmente a las mujeres que temen que sea "demasiado tarde para comenzar") a dar el primer paso, sin importar cuán pequeño sea, hacia el cumplimiento de cualquier sueño que pueda haber en su corazón. ¡Es *nunca* demasiado tarde!
Combino mi amor por lo retro, el estilo kitsch vintage y la elaboración de papel para crear diarios basura únicos a partir de libros infantiles vintage (¡uno de mis coleccionables vintage favoritos!) y sobres de patrones de costura vintage, así como accesorios adorables para agregar a sus diarios y planificadores.
¡A partir de junio de 2020, comencé a ofrecer clases en línea sobre cómo hacer diarios basura! Tengo un curso llamado 'Building & Binding' que enseña cómo crear una portada a partir de un pequeño libro de oro y cómo coser en las páginas. Welcome to Kittywitty Papercraft! I am so glad you are here! I hope you find something that delights your heart.
I didn't start seriously crafting until I was 44 years old. I had a dream of creating art and running a small business for many years before I acted on it. One day I had the realization that I didn't want to get to the end of my life and regret that I had never at least *tried* to fulfill my dream. Taking that first step to START creating was the best thing I ever did. Now, it's my passion to encourage other people (especially women who fear it's "too late to start") to take the first step, no matter how small, towards fulfilling whatever dream might be in their heart. It is *never* too late!
I combine my love of retro, kitschy style vintage and papercrafting to create one of a kind junk journals from vintage children's books (one of my favorite vintage collectibles!) and vintage sewing pattern envelopes as well as adorable accessories to add to your journals and planners.
As of June 2020, I began offering online classes on how to make junk journals!
