From Engineering Calculations to Crafting Creations
Hello! I’m Mark Beshay, an Egyptian living in Australia with a story that bridges two worlds — engineering precision and artistic passion.
My journey began in 2010 after graduating from the Faculty of Engineering. I started as a Senior Cost Control Engineer, mastering structure, detail, and discipline. But even then, creativity was quietly calling — I explored graphic design during college, unknowingly planting the seeds for what would become my future.
Over the next decade, my career took me to Qatar, where I worked on large engineering projects. Then one day, during a career break, I decided to buy a small diode laser machine — just for fun. That “small experiment” sparked something big. Within months, orders poured in faster than I could imagine, revealing a new path I never expected.
Guided by my Egyptian roots and inspired by the cultures I’ve encountered across the world, I discovered that laser engraving could be more than technical — it could be storytelling through art. Upgrading from a diode to a CO₂ laser machine marked the turning point from hobby to thriving business.
Today, through L’Artpieces, I craft 3D wooden illusions that blend the precision of engineering with the soul of creativity. Each design celebrates culture, faith, and emotion — carved in wood, yet rich with meaning.
This journey from engineer to artist reminds me that sometimes the most logical step… is to follow your heart. I hope my work inspires you to explore the unexpected paths that lead to creation, passion, and beauty.
