LisBet Designs
Welcome to LisBet Designs! I have been creating beaded jewelry for more than a decade and it just keeps evolving. I have always been interested in fashion and have a B.S. degree in Fashion Merchandising from Purdue University. I believe that my ability to bring colors and textures together in the form of wearable art stems from my love of fashion. I have always had an interest in needle arts, beginning with when my mother taught me embroidery as a child. When I discovered bead embroidery I was hooked!
In 2015 my design earned the Best of Show ribbon at the Indiana State Fair, my initial venture into the Amateur division. 2016 was my first year in the Professional category and the design achieved second place. However, in 2017 my designs were back with first and second ribbons, and again earning the Best of Show award. I was honored once again with the Best of Show award in 2019.
In 2020 I was privileged to be invited to be a featured designer for the Toho Challenge, in which my design traveled to various bead shows and venues around the world.
I enjoy meeting new people through my beadwork and sharing my love of all things beaded! I teach classes for original designs through my local bead society and upon request.
