Enjoy the little things!
My art inspires people to find joy in the little things, inviting adults to step back into playful moments and experience childlike wonder once again – often eliciting squeaks, squeals, and possibly a little bit of jumping. Half of my work is clay, and the other half is paper. My art is playful, joyous and fun, but you will notice my skill and attention to detail in the neatly creased origami on a mobile hanging in perfect balance, or in my precisely formed ceramics.
Little Inspired Zealous Art uses the letters of my name to perfectly describe my work: small scale, creative expressions driven by inspiration and passion. My creative process is a meditative experience for me, an active energy conversation between me and the medium I am working with. When I sit down at the wheel, I choose to receive, to just create what my hands guide me to create. I don't push ideas through, I don't make "what sells". I find a lot of joy in my work and that joy is captured in every piece I make.
And I think we’re all here to have fun. So I’ve been trying to find a way to support myself financially while having the most fun possible. I think society as a whole benefits from us all doing what we enjoy. It makes the world a better place when we have less baggage, when we carry less resentment towards ourselves for not doing that thing that we love. I’m trying to lead by example and figure it out.
I experience great joy creating my objects and my desire is for you to experience that same joy when you see my art.
