It all started from one pixel
The name originated from what catapulted my inspiration for digital design & illustration. In 1995, my father presented me with a small toy machine by Sega Entertainment entitled 'Pico', a lesser-known gaming console from a reputable gaming company tailored to younger children. This system has introduced me to the world of video games and is also how I would spend most of my quality time with my father growing up. There is one game in particular that I fondly remember, where at one point you can draw your own pixelized creations. My father was a very talented artist in his younger years but somewhere along the way, he kept that part to himself private. This was the moment when he could finally showcase his hidden artistic talents to me that I wasn't aware of at that time. My little mind was beyond amazed and fueled with inspiration as he drew cartoon characters that I once beloved. It was so effortless for him to create and I would then in return pour countless of hours trying to replicate them. Years later my parents got our first family PC and this is where I would spend most of my time during my adolescent life. Funny to think I still didn't get a grasp of how to play the factory-installed PC games yet, so I would spend most of my free time messing around in Microsoft Paint. I wanted to do more advanced illustrations and by sheer luck, I had an Adobe Photoshop trial disk; everything was self-taught from this point on. My knowledge of Photoshop was nonexistent and the steep learning curve was at an all-time high (keep in mind that this was way before youtube tutorials were a thing), but my hunger & eagerness to learn more has never stopped since then. Fast forward to today, I got into the mundane repetitious lifestyle of adult life (like my father once did), and was not able to find any sort of outlet to showcase my art or feed my personal needs..that was until I thought about the idea of creating a cool little sticker shop. I took the plunge and invested in this completely new but known business venture. I finally found a balance between business and pleasure for years to come. My store expresses all of my past & current interests and now I get to create great quality products for others to enjoy, one pixel at a time.
