My name is Jenn Thompson. I'm a crafter, writer + lover of all things beautiful, fuzzy, soft, silly, adventurous + fun, I'm also the creator + owner of Merrily Yours.
I’ve been creating + crafting since I was a child + I'm a descendent of generations of crafters. My Oma (Grandmother) is a strict knitter + crochet master; she learned the craft as a child + has since made countless blankets, hats + wearable items. I’ve always been in awe of her natural craftsmanship + my most cherished memories are of the days when we worked on latch-hooked rugs, plush dolls + animals, finishing the day with silly bedtime stories told by my plush friends. So began my lifetime love for crafts, gifting + my eternal adoration for plush.
As an adult I rediscovered my love for crafting during a long series of handmade gift giving, the culmination of my efforts producing the Mini Car for my first Christmas with my boyfriend, Alex. I wanted to make something incredibly cool, special + unique to show my love for him so I modeled the car after his beloved 1971 Mini Cooper. For the guy who has everything (just like my brother + most men I know) the personalized Mini Car was the perfect answer.
