Hi, I’m Meagan, the artist behind these custom pet portraits.
I’m a fine art oil painter with a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Architecture, and over 12 years of experience working in interior design as an architectural designer in New York City. My background in design trained my eye for detail, composition, and craftsmanship and those skills now shape every portrait I create.
My journey into pet portrait painting began unexpectedly five years ago when I shared a personal painting of my own pet on social media. The response was overwhelming and requests quickly followed. What started as a personal project soon became a passion and a full time creative focus.
Today, I specialize in hand painted oil portraits of beloved dogs and cats, and I also paint horses, inspired by my life in an equestrian community in South Florida. Being surrounded by animals every day has deeply influenced my work and strengthened my connection to the subjects I paint.
