From one tin of wax to a worldwide company!
In 2014 I decided to try and make my own moustache wax without beeswax, so I set about looking at the brands available in the UK.
What I found was that there were many products out there, but not so many with helpful ingredients. Beeswax melts in the sun so it's not good for a moustache wax on a sunny day. And being vegan I needed to find an alternative.
Pine resin is a natural gum-like substance which is ideal for the job. So I added some carnauba wax (another natural product), some coconut oil and some essential oils and I made my first batch. And Mr Masey's Emporium of Beards was born.
Since then we have progressed to making many other products. We have beard balms which condition and sculpt the beard, beard oils for softening and cologne for men who want to smell great!
Our beard wash and beard conditioner will clean and condition the beard to perfection. We have face washes and shower gels too as well as all types of shaving products (including our own brand of traditional razors).
We sell thousands of products to people all around the world and we still make everything by hand using a team of makers, bottlers and labellers. A truly handmade, worldwide company!
