Handmade knitting bags & camera straps
Knitting bags and camera straps seems like an odd combination, I know. I initially started with knitting bags, as my favorite hobby (besides sewing) is knitting. I used to take my knitting with me in a plastic grocery bag. The knitting needles always poked through and it was *incredibly* frustrating. One day I sat down and decided to design a solution to my problem. The result: Adorable, practical bags that would allow me to travel with my project without the frustration. The project bags even had the added benefit of keeping my cats' paws out of my projects at home.
Then, on vacation a few years back, my husband was complaining about how uncomfortable his camera strap was. I figured that was a problem I could solve for him. I started experimenting with the best way to make a comfortable, functional, and durable camera strap for him. He got to be my guinea pig for all my trials and errors and give me critical feedback until we had a product we were both happy with.
All the items in my shop are made with 100% cotton. The camera straps are made with faux leather ends for durability. My workspace is a smoke free, but I do have two adorable and “helpful” cats. I try to keep them out of my workspace, but as those with pets can understand, the fur cannot be 100% contained.
