Small stories on canvas
Welcome to my Etsy shop! 🎨
Most of what I make starts with one question: what's this creature doing when nobody's watching?
A whale taking a long soak. A frog halfway through a tea ceremony he takes very seriously. A chimp with the morning paper. They're funny because they're dignified — and because when someone sees one on your wall, they ask about it, and then you get to tell the craziest story you can come up with ;).
The other half of the shop is quieter. Kintsugi is the Japanese practice of mending broken pottery with gold (and one of my favorite concepts I love so much), so the repair becomes the most beautiful part of the piece. Those are for people who've been through something (like... all of us lol) the gift you send when you don't have to say a word.
Everything here is painterly on purpose: visible brushwork, warm color, texture you can read from across the room. The compliment I get most is that it looks like a real painting. I try to source the best possible tools and options to keep that standard consistently up there.
How it's made: I first come up with a crazy idea (my thing haha), then I refine these ideas into printable concepts. I design digitally in Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom, and I use AI tools during ideation and added elements on most prints. Every final piece is reworked by hand until it's mine and has a genuine human touch with art that resonates.
Canvases arrive unframed, ready to hang, unless a listing says otherwise. Check the size guide — most people are happiest one size up from what they first picture.
