needle and thread
Give me thread, needle, fabric and time and I'm happy.
I made my first patchwork quilt in high school and loved the process. Since then I have made many, many quilts. Large, small, by hand and by machine. To some, cutting up a perfectly good piece of fabric and sewing back together doesn't make sense. To me it makes perfect sense.
Eventually my quilting hobby morphed into a thriving business writing and designing patterns so you could stitch them too.
My patterns have been in magazines and catalogs over the years. Opening my Etsy shop allows me to
connect with my customers on a more personal level and It also allows me to sell my finished items from time to time.
In my patterns, I really strive to write clear and understandable instructions to make your sewing experience fun and stress free. I really dislike lousy instructions myself, so I won't to subject you to that.
Inspirations for my designs come from many places, a mood, a color, an occasion, technology, nature, it's always different.
I am quite messy while I am creating a new design. I can't be bothered with the mess until I am well into the completion of the design. After one too many pins to the foot, my husband has learned not to venture into my studio barefoot.
Whether you are making your first quilt or sewing project, or you've made many,
I hope you are enjoying every stitch.
