I attempted to learn crochet as a kid, but I really fell into it when I was looking for that perfect Christmas stocking for my growing family. I had a fear of spending a lot of money on something store-bought that would be discontinued before my family was done growing. And, I really wanted something customized to each family member because that's the kind of thing my husband and I each had when we were kids. When I found that perfect pattern I jumped in with both feet (and a hook)!
