5 out of 5 starsI love your delightful note & your bear, which has spiritual meaning for me. I volunteered at Wonders of Wildlife in Springfield, MO. I met Tom there, an older volunteer my age who LOVED the bears who lived there. Our meeting felt predestined. We already knew one another. We also shared a much-loved friend, a KC firefighter who'd died on the job. My then husband, a narcissist whose center was often himself, pretended to know and love me, but Tom really did. I hope my abiding love for Tom helped him during a frightening mental journey. Like Bruce Willis, he developed frontal-lobe cancer. It was heartbreaking to witness, but my soul was meant to be there to gently love and support my friend during our brief 19 months together. When I think of Tom, I'll look at your wise, soulful bear and see him there. Thank you for that, Jan
