The Rooted Leather Story
I spent an afternoon carefully folding baby clothes - clothes my three boys no longer fit into, my three boys who spent that afternoon running and laughing and wrestling and growing as I made those piles. I was surprised by how many emotions went into those piles of clothes; the memories flooded back as I folded. The onesies my sons came home from the hospital in, the sweater they all wore for their first birthday, the striped shirt that clung to each boy as they took their first few steps. These memories were wrapped tightly in these outfits, memories tied forever to this fabric. This is what inspired me to start Rooted Leather.
At Rooted, you send me a piece of your unique fabric; a onesie, your grandpa’s tie, a bridesmaid dress you wore for your sister’s wedding, and I will carefully line your new leather bag with it, protecting this memory and fabric for years to come.
