Love Life ~ BE BRAVE
Welcome to our Etsy Shop! Creating custom made rustic distressed hand painted items brings me so much JOY! I think it has secretly always been a dream of mine. It all started when my parents signed me up for Madison Township 4-H Club when I was little. Ever since making those fun projects in the hot summer months, I've had a love for getting crafty.
RusticOrchid started as a way to de-stress from the physical, mental, and emotional stress of teaching adolescents. Yeah...although I never showed it, those little 12-14 yr old darlings were getting the best of me; and I knew for sanity's sake, that I needed a change. I found that tapping into my creative side and working with my hands after hours helped me to become a more patient, refreshed, and effective individual. But the "after hours gig" just wasn't enough...deep down I knew that I wasn't doing what I love...I JUST WAS NOT HAPPY.
Making a life change is aways risky, but can reap great reward; and sometimes change is definitely needed. So, I took to heart the words on my favorite thumb ring: Love Life ~ BE BRAVE and finally listened to what my body was "screaming" at me for months, health wise. I started something new to see where it would take me...
WHAT AN AMAZING JOURNEY it has been so far! I am so glad that I took that first step...accepted the challenge...went on that adventure...and created our shop. It is one of the best things that I could have done at that point in my life for my own HEALTH and HAPPINESS. I am especially fortunate, blessed, & grateful to NOW be able to manage RusticOrchid out of our home, on a daily basis. It is never too late to make a change and start something new. I hope that our shop story inspires you to FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS, TAKE A RISK, CREATE YOUR OWN PATH, and DO WHAT MAKES YOU HAPPY <3
