I have waited so long for this game to have a physical book.

Other than being 2 weeks later than expected, this was awesome! The book is very dense and detailed but is exactly the kind of thing I'd expect from Awful Hospital's author. The world is very vibrant and alive. There's multiple different builds you can make, different monster types, lots of npcs, and more. I've only skimmed and actually read up until the character fields of study subsets. Loving the atmosphere and world so far though. Not great for your very first ttrpg, but fantastic if you put in the time to learn.

I've never been a huge TTRPG guy, but I've been a fan of Wojcik's blog for a long time and was excited to see that his monster-designing magnum opus come into the world at last. Wojcik has always had a marvelous eye for creature design that clearly translates into both this batch of creatures and the world he creates (which is a kind of unruly organism in its own right). It's hard to pick a favorite, but I could definitely see myself chumming around with a "Karacha" should I ever try a campaign myself. The rules and universe of are densely described, weaving in Wojcik's extensive knowledge of biology with his signature sense of humor and ability to see beauty in the grotesque. The illustrations are lush and the concepts behind building and modifying monsters seem extremely fun to toy around with. 10/10

I bought a hard enamel pin of a lamprey. Honestly the quality was so much better in-hand than from the etsy shop online photos. And they even got the teeth right! I'm so happy! I can't wait to gift this to my friend!
