All pleated and fitted fabric masks can be washed in the washing machine and dried on high heat.

Window masks can be hand washed only.

All masks can be sprayed with rubbing or isopropyl alcohol to help kill bacteria and germs on them. I spray all masks prior to packaging them, so you may notice a faint odor of alcohol when opening you package. This smell should dissipate quickly.

I highly recommend that users invest in a small bottle of anti fogging spray usually sold for eyeglasses to spritz the inside of the mask before wearing. This will help keep the mask from fogging up as you speak. Alternatively the inside of the plastic can be rubbed down with a thin layer of dish soap or creamy shaving cream which will also reduce fogging.

Homemade fabric facemasks are not surgical masks or Filtering Facepiece Respirators (FFRs), nor are they intended to replace those masks. These masks are best for everyday use running errands, grocery shopping, going to work, or attending school or events. They're also great for mowing the lawn if you have allergies.

They have not been tested for fluid resistance, particulate or bacteria filtration efficiency, differential pressure, or flammability.

If you need additional protection than a 2 layer fabric mask provides, but like having the fabric mask I recommend purchasing the fitted mask with filter pocket and placing a surgical mask or an N95 filter inside.

My sewing studio is in my home that i share with my husband, 5 cats, and 3 dogs. While I clean and sanitize my studio frequently, I cannot guarantee that your mask will not arrive without some residual animal allergens. Please wash your mask as soon as it arrives as that should take care of any of these remaining allergens.

I work on orders Monday through Friday, making and shipping each order the business day after it's placed. If you order Monday-Thursday your item should ship the next business day. If you order Friday-Sunday, your order will ship on Mondays*.

*High volume caveat: I've been getting a really high volume of orders lately, that means that orders placed over the weekend may not ship until Tuesday. I will do my absolute best to get them out on Mondays, but there's only so much time in the day. I appreciate your patience!
