The Story Behind Forever Treasured <3
I have always had a passion for jewelry and accessories, the more unique the better. And when it comes to unique items, most times the price tag may leave you a little more than unsettled.
After searching for too long for a decent pair of pretty, girly, unique organic plugs to no a due, I decided to take my love for jewelry making and match it with my knowledge of woodworking (thank you Pop-Pop!) I grabbed my trusty handsaw and got to work. A few hours of trial and error later, I was left with three pairs of beautiful plugs not one person in the world had. They were just what I was looking for. I was so excited that I had to show off my work.
I received countless compliments and a few requests to make some custom pieces for others, so I again sat down at my little kitchen table and got to work. Little did I know then what a huge thing this would turn out to be.
The first few pair I made were for my friends, which I sold for $10 a pair… just for practice. I worked and worked to grow my stock from just three pairs of button plugs to a full supply of rhinestone and dangle styled plugs of all sizes. On December 31st, just a few weeks after I made my first few sets, I officially opened the doors to my first Etsy shop. Within the first few days I had my first sale, and with it many, many more followed. As my views and favorites soared, I made more and more stock to keep up with the sales. Unfortunately, my body couldn’t handle all the stress of everything my plugs entailed in production.
I closed the doors to my first shop 4 years after my first sale. I hated to do it, as jewelry making is my passion, and that shop was my soul. But sometimes life sends you on a path you totally weren't expecting... be it good or bad, it gets you where you need to go.
Years later, my body rested, I'm yet again here to make you quality handmade wooden plugs and jewelry that really reflect the person you are… pieces that no one else in the world has. The vintage styled, classic jewelry you see in my shop is always ready to go before it is listed, so as soon as you purchase the piece, I pack it up to be shipped out to you.
I specialize in custom orders for those of you who want something I haven’t made yet, something with as much of your heart in it as my own. I work with everything from necklaces, regular stud or clip-on earrings & simple organic plugs to elaborate exotic wood dangle plugs. I have made wire wrapped rings in 10kt gold, made plugs to match pictures of regular pierced earrings, I have even dressed entire bridal parties in my custom jewelry. Be it for a wedding, a prom, or just a treat for yourself, you can rest assured that with buying hand made, you are not only supporting a local crafter, but you’re getting a piece that was made with painstaking attention paid to every detail. A piece that should last you for years to come.
Feel free to contact me with any ideas you may have, or to inquire about a piece you want to see. I am always within close reach for my customers, and I reply to every message as soon as possible. Even if you have no idea what type of jewelry you would want from a handcrafted site, with a few simple questions I will walk you along the way and together we will create your dream piece.
With every pair of plugs I sell, I include complete care instructions and a small, sample sized pot of my all-natural plug wax- not many shops will do that. This is the same wax I use on every pair of plugs I make, and I include it so that you have the same quality product that will keep your plugs looking and feeling their very best. The wax is made from pure ingredients- no fillers, perfumes or dyes here… just all natural cosmetic grade beeswax, organic sweet almond oil and pure cold-pressed jojoba oil. Also with every purchase is my personal guarantee that if you should ever have any trouble with your plugs, I am still here to help you, even if it’s your own boo-boo. Simply message me anytime with any concerns you may have and I will do my very best to find a solution to your issue.
I adore my customers- they are the only reason my little idea took off with such a bang. I will bend over backwards to make sure each and every one of you are satisfied with your purchase, but I cannot and will never sell to resellers, companies or shops. I want to be the only hands between my product and my customers, to personally be available for any questions, concerns or requests they may have.
I don’t ever want to overwork myself to the point where I make shoddy pieces because I’m in a hurry to get to the next piece in a 100 piece order. I wouldn’t want a third party selling my product with no knowledge as to how it was made or the process I go through to produce each piece, and I most certainly don’t want to ever have to raise my prices… or see my work in a shop for way more than I would charge. My customers deserve their product at it’s best... and I refuse to give them any less. <3
